Kaikoura Coast Seal Colony Walk
As you approach Rahautara at 22 km you will see a few seals on the rocks. The main car park is at half moon Bay. Once out of the car, you can stand on the edge of the road and look down at the seals. If it is a little too crowded, drive another 3 ks north to Paparoa Point, were there is a car par and an overnight camp over. You can walk out to the seals. But the rock you step on could be a seal, so be very careful. Take a gas mask, the smell will knock you over.
