Hamurana Springs walking map

Cross the wooden bridge at the front of the car park then just follow the track along side the stream then you walk through the grove of redwoods and up to the springs. In 1957 5000+ pennies dating back to 1860 were recovered by divers from Wellington. The pennies were then given to a number of children charities. even today you can still see dozen of coins 15m at the bottom of Hamurana Spring.

After the main Hamurana Spring you will come across a number of smaller springs, one of the springs will be the dancing spring. As for spotting Trout, the excitement will wear off very quickly.
