Pleasant Point Stream
On Halstead Road across from the Pleasant Point Primary School, follow the track that meanders next to a dry river bed. At first, you will pass a playground with an impressive variety of different installations. The walk is shaded and round along grassy banks.
Cross Tengawai Rd and continue along the track until Runa Terrace, where the walk ends.
Return the same way or turn right onto Rimu St and then right once more at Mackenzie Country Rd, the main road.
Pleasant Point Domain
From the corner of Mackenzie Country Road and George Street, walk straight along Mackenzie Country Road towards Pleasant Point Domain. You will walk past the camping ground, after which you will notice a well-marked track that goes around the perimeter golf course.
Large firs and other native vegetation provide shade. The vegetation also creates a divide between the track and the golf course. However, it is also possible to do this walk along the edge of the golf course instead of through the trees.
It might be best to stick to the track in the trees to avoid getting hit by a golf ball. After all, it is likely that you will want to focus your eyes to the left where the rolling land and the mountains are.
