The Reservoir Track is so named because of the small reservoir that can be found near the beginning of the walk.
This track starts at the Tripp Street car park, where there is also a picnic area.
The track is a straight path all the way to Bridge Street. Here you will see iron gates. The gates mark the old entrance into the Talbot Forest Scenic Reserve. They are no longer used as often as the reserve can be entered from many different points. However, should you choose to explore the reserve by starting with the Reservoir Track, the Bridge Street gates are also a good place to start.
Combine this walk with the 3 other walks in the Talbot Forest Scenic Reserve. They are all short walks. Combined, they do not even amount to an hour of walking. However, there is plenty of native vegetation to admire. Furthermore, you may encounter interesting native bird species, such as a fantail or even insects, such as dragonflies.
